For the people, by the people...
Bannock Bark Parks is a 501c3 non-profit started by local Pocatello and Chubbuck residents that wanted a safe place to have fun with their pets and to socialize with other pet owners and their dogs.
BBP is a volunteer-run organization working to establish fenced, off-leash dog parks in southeastern Idaho and 100% of all donations go directly to the permitting, design and construction costs to create our future dog parks. Currently, our main focus is raising money to build a small park in Old Town and to work with the City of Pocatello to include a dog park in their new Master Plan for Ross Park. We're also trying to get the City of Chubbuck on board with the idea that dog parks are really good for their city.
Our Mission: Bannock Bark Parks is committed to enriching community life and fostering long-term, positive relationships between dogs and people in southeastern Idaho by working with municipalities and other agencies to fund, establish and maintain dog parks in the region. Bannock Bark Parks promotes responsible, educated dog ownership through the establishment of fenced, off-leash dog parks that encourage owners and dogs to exercise and socialize together in a safe, appropriate setting.
